WSJ: Silicon Valley Jobs Surge as Major Metros See Rising Employment

The economies of big U.S. cities are improving.

Employment rose in all 51 metropolitan areas with a population of 1 million or more in February compared with a year earlier, the Labor Department said Wednesday.

Silicon Valley’s San Jose-Sunnyvale-Santa Clara metro saw the biggest surge in employment, with area payrolls growing 5.4%. Regions anchored by Atlanta and Louisville, Ky., followed with gains of 4.6%.
